Paula's Philosophy
When I started studying yoga, some half century ago, it was still considered a cult. I am gratified to see the form achieve world wide credibility, with proven results as a resource for health and wellness. Sadly, in my opinion, yoga has been commercialized in a way that defeats its purpose and is at odds with its true spirit and original intention. It seems that every gym and newly minted teacher is using gimmicks like ropes, swings, promoting excessive heat, or offering quickie yoga express classes. This "yoga-lite", fast food culture of yoga practice is not where the essence of yoga can be found. I am committed to teaching this ancient art the old fashioned way. I believe in attention to grounding, centering, aligning and breathing. No need for bells and whistles here. For an honest, authentic yoga journey, one must journey within. I hope you will join me.
Namaste.
